I thought we were after more of a DM.... wasn't it mentioned linked with JDG that Monk was happy with his other midfielders who were all more natural attacking minded players - Siggy, Shelvey, Ki and Emnes and specifically wanted more of a DM to balance things up ? ...

Doesn't look like we are signing Stambouli now does it. That's three players this summer where it has been reported a fee has been agreed but the player hasn't come - Stambouli, Payet and Castaginos. All three would have been good or excellent additions to the squad :-( | |

Totally agree. I think Huw and Monk have done great business over the summer and the squad looks really balanced and very capable. Stambouli and Payet would have been the icing on the cake. | |
