Sutton goalkeeper has resigned on 23:07 - Feb 21 with 712 views | shenleymun | Lookt of miserable sods on this thread. Bookies lay stupid bet about pies, the obvious happens, they pay out £10 grand and get £10 million free publicity. Who gives a stuff? And all the fat haters and so called health worriers are more full of sh*t than his pie probably was. The worlds best pies are from Davies in the market. Swansea pies, they are called. Most shouting off on here will never have had one.

I don't care whether he stuffed a pie or not. The only surprise here is that people are surprised by the fallout. Thick shenleymun.

What if a boxer says in a press conference before a fight that he'll knock his opponent out in the third round, then goes ahead and does this? Should he get done for match fixing? This pie thing is a joke, it has nothing to do with the outcome of the game and is nothing more than a novelty bet to promote the bookies offering it. Paddy power used to do these. The fact the odds were 8-1 and the bookies had to shell out is the fault of the bookies I'm afraid.

Not getting the point, are you? The lardy sub keeper actively participated in the bet by posing for a photo which was used in advertising the bet. The bet wasn't for an act that would happen organically in the game - it was something he deliberately staged for the bookies, knowing mates had put bets on. Maybe he seems to believe betting guidelines are utterly irrelevant - after all, his supporters believe that. Reality is, he's an attention seeking tw*t who has upstaged the great achievements the actual players made during the cup run.

The boxer has an opponent doing everything he can to avoid that outcome. This bloke was in complete control of the entire scenario. No one was trying to stop him from eating his pie. I agree that the whole thing is a bit ott though. I certainly wouldn't want to come between him and his pie.
