This is the action that wil most likely occur with Jenkins and the Americans now 12:02 - Dec 27 with 1615 viewsSwanseaman

They will continue to play the waiting game.. They will take too long to appoint the right manager, they will search for the perfect one, but be unable to promise enough available money for players in the transfer window so will lose out. This will be the main nail in the coffin, their hesitancy in action will ultimately cost them/us.

Teams around us will keep improving where we will keep getting worse. In the transfer window all of the better players available will be snapped up by the teams around us while the Americans um and ah over the prices. Their hesitancy once again will cost us while other clubs who show far more interest and having far more premier experience, will offer the better players more, once again we will lose out.

The players we get in will be risks, loan players, or players who have lost form (had injuries). All calculated risks, playing Russian roulette with the club.

When we get a manager in he will not have control over which players he wants, it will be Jenkins telling him what players he can pick from (from a list Jenkins has made up).

They will be unwilling to offer big money and full control to any real proven manager like Louis van Gaal. Unable to offer him a decent pot of money so that he could improve our squad and this will ultimately lead to our premier demise.

Speed of thought, urgency, moving quickly to get the right man in and willing to pay decent money to attract the right person is not the way they will go. It will be the same old waiting game, the same snail pace movement, everything very slow and taking it easy. The waiting game that's been proven not to work will continue, it is the way they operate and there is no way they can change. They've shown us how they do they do their business, it will more than likely happen again. Spending the money needed isn't in the equation, spending the least possible is.

More on the waiting game here:
The main problem has been doing things too late. by Swanseaman 26 Dec 2017 21:35
The way we are run at the moment is to leave everything until last minute. It started with Bob Bradley, what were they waiting for by the end of that I don't understand.

The selling of Sigurdsson was just waiting waiting waiting, as if they were just wanting to squeeze as many extra millions as they could from Everton, with no consideration to the fact they we needed quality strikers brought in quickly to have any chance of survival.

The selling of players all last minute, the buying pf players all last minute ruined any chance of doing well this season. Then they go and do it again, just waiting and waiting to replace Paul Clement and not even having a replacement in place. We could have got Sam Allardyce, Moyles, Claude Puel and at least had a chance of improving under them. But this time it is too late, time has run out.. We are so rock bottom with the confidence of the players also rock bottom there is little chance of recovery.

Maybe due to their inexperience, the Americans actually think we can get out of this ...?

The Manager and January window really is the least of our problems.

The team we fielded at Anfield tells you all we need to know. All of them bar Fabianski should be nowhere near the Premier League.

To stay up we would need 7 or 8 players of quality of a new Managers input which we will have neither in place.

Its all about jumping ship now with loaded pockets of cash between now and May.

From a purely business perspective, HJ would have been shown the door a long time ago in the Corporate world but he has been left to his own devices and self agenda to exploit his position and bank balance to the maximum effect.

At least back in the Tom Petty era he was in it for the cash and made no secret of it until he was removed. HJ proclaims to support the club, Jack to Judas indeed !!!

I agree, it's all about asset stripping for the Americans now, money in from the sale of Fabianski and Mawson, something back for Messa and Ayew, then cream off the parachute payments for a couple of years.... job done 👍

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

I don't disagree that we don't have a great set of players at the moment, but having now watched most of the other teams in the league playing against us this season then there is very little to choose between us and at least 12/13 other teams. The so called top 6 have much better relative quality this season and are quite capable of putting 5 goals past the other teams.

We are starting to become detached in the bottom 3 but a flukey win against Watford will put us back in the mix. We need to defend like we did against Spurs at Wembley, against the top 6, and play like we have against WBA / Palace, against the rest. Boosted by a new manager and a few new players in January and we can get out of this mess (again).

But we need to act now ...

C'mon Bony shoot !!!!
