I’d say 30 million for a player who would be captain & the mainstay of our midfield for around 7 years is a fair price.
Would of been far happier if we’d stumped up the 8 million pre euros.
Anyway I hope Stoke go down & we buy him for less.

Isn't it just.
Nearly as soon as the window shuts one of them (normally Sullivan) comes out saying they bid X amount for such a player.
Much the same as someone else saying "we tried, but the prices are wrong in this window, the agent couldn't agree terms, the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and we just couldn't get the Adomah deal over the line." |  |
