The "King of Clubs" has died aged 77 after a long term battle with lung cancer.
The son of a Sheffield steel worker, he opened his first club in 1962. Stingfellows,London was opened in 1980 and was considered the best gentlemans club in the world. He then went on to open many clubs world wide.

#RIP Peter Stringfellow, met him back in 90. He became friends with the capt of HMS Cornwall and invited the ships company to his club ( we also had an invite to the club in Miami when the ship was out there). Champers laid on both times, fair play. Seemed a nice down to earth guy
