One crime doesn’t make you guilty of another.
Just because he was underage doesn’t mean he isn’t allowed to defend himself as per the constitution.
If a 6 year old has a gun illegally and is being attacked he has every right to shoot the attacker in self defence.
He may be reprimanded for having a gun underage, but that doesn’t then change the situation from self defence to murder.
You made up that he “was looking for it” in your head. Cases aren’t brought forward by scenarios in your head, they are brought forward with the facts of the case. He was there to protect not to attack. Hence why he didn’t attack anyone prior to being attacked himself.

You have been given some stark examples of that with your own behaviour in the last few days, each of those times you have had to back away from your original emotional and baseless statements.

It’s an assault which if put in front of the police or FA authorities will be punished as such. There is no emotion, no interpretation. He committed a crime on the football pitch, there is no justification there.
How you view him is a personal choice based on bias, but his actions are determined by fact.
What you are doing is not judging character by facts, you are taking facts and adding your own to suit an already predisposed opinion.
They are completely different things.

Personally I do not think a 17 year old should be walking around with an AR15, even if he also has a first aid kit and has spent much of the day scrubbing off graffiti. However, there does seem to be some doubt about the position of somebody aged 16 or over carrying a long gun in Wisconsin. No doubt we will learn which arguments are correct at the trial.
