All PL players should have a salary cap and if Fifa WONT DO IT,THEN THEY SHOULD |
What will that achieve? Football clubs generate their own money. They aren’t taking from nurses or more noble professions. Well apart from an entry fee, but that’s the same as all forms of entertainment such as actors and the payment to go and see their movie. So Bale earning 500k a week doesn’t mean he is doing so at the expense of others. If you capped his salary at 5k a week... it means instead of 2 mega rich people (the owner and the player) you get 1 even richer person (owner) and one well off person (player). It doesn’t solve the issue you bring to the table. Capitalism is wonderful. It means everyone can strive to better themselves and there is no limit to what you can earn. What you seem to be suggesting is a move to communism where everyone gets the same. There is a reason communism hasn’t worked in any country in the world for any notable length of time... ask Venezuela.

It took millions in Venezuela out of starvation and poverty, until it got sabotaged by outside forces.Same with Cuba.
