I was talking about this with my 12year old son while watching todays ceremony on the news. He asked about the unknown soldier, who he was. After pointing out he was unknown we explained to him the soldier was somebody's son and maybe had brothers and sisters. He could have been a father or he could have been a 15 year old boy who'd lied about his age...that made him think.
The inscription on the Cenotaph, it simply says "The Glorious dead" and that's the only thing that troubles me, glorious?
