Three more players in on deadline day along with Jordan Morris, Conor Hourihane and Ben Hamer signals intent for the remaining games of the season. 0 If you want to remove this post from the board index, just click the hide post icon below. I think the signings are decent, Houriane especially, be interesting to see how the US lads do, not long to make an impact. Squad looking strong for the push for promotion.

In the current Covid market clubs are looking for a lot more value than prizing one of our jewels away in the midst of a promotion battle would have cost. The business we've done on paper looks very good indeed, including four full internationals and one youth international. We've replaced those who were recalled and look to have upgraded in the process, particularly in the case of Morris/Gyokeres and MGW/Hourihane. We've added depth in certain positions and bought for the future. In short, we've given Cooper the tools he needs to give us a fighting chance. [Post edited 2 Feb 2021 9:46]

We certainly have a strong enough squad now to have a real go at it. I would say we are in a better position than we were in 10/11 season. From what I remember we have better strength in depth this time round.

Was hoping for a box-box, zippy young attacking Midfielder like MGW to push us on - up the pitch and beyond. (One of the new boys has a stunning Aston Martin, apparently)

Agree on the overall squad strength. You could argue that the 10/11 side had more individuals of higher quality (Williams, Allen, Britton, Sinclair) but for total depth we've got that beaten now. If we finish above one of either Norwich or Brentford we'll be in the top two IMO. Can't see anyone else being consistent enough to crack the top three. We just need to keep picking up points at the same clip. Not freezing against Norwich like we did against Brentford will help.

Steve has the pieces of a zigsaw to get us back to the Promised Land. Good luck Steve.

I do agree with you in regards i would have liked an out abd out 'box' poacher striker too. Just to mix it up when needed especially as Cullen is out too. But Ayew can fulfoll that role and we do have goals from elsewhere so I'm being greedy. Overall very good window.
