| Should Hamer be given a starting spot on 13:19 - Mar 2 by onehunglow | If he is never played, how do you know He might 1.control his box 2.Come for corners and catch the ball even Keep the ball in play instead of kicking into touch. Even not rolling the ball to full backs that slowly only the stadium cat doesnt know exactly what he is going to do |
Good points OHL., as ever. Fair play to you for continuing to push the boundaries, into where many are uncomfortable. And much of what you say is spot on re Woody - yet, our performances with him with a solid defensive set-up in front have been exemplary. Off the scale. The recent games we have suffered though, and without Bennett as THE comfort blanket (for Woody, Grimes, our WBs, Guehi, Ben) we have been vulnerable. Grimes sits deeper, ever mindful of being our defensive leader in RB's absence. It all gets shakier (;-)) without our rock. Maybe Ben H's experience and maturity is the missing piece in Bennett's absence.

Fair and respectful reply.I can handle that but not the idea Woody is anything other than average and his deficiences remain. This season however he seems rather more "brave".Apart from that,I simply don't agree he i s"far" better.
