Spurs let Gylfi go because they had Christian Erriksen who WAS truly world class, and kept Gylfi out of the team. Much as I think Gylfi was an invaluable, wonderful player for us and has been a solid performer for Everton, I don’t think he can be rated alongside the truly great midfielders: the aforementioned Erriksen, David Silva, de Bruyne, Fabregas etc etc |  | |  |
