De Guzman came to the club only a few weeks before Ki and had not played any serious games in that period. De Guzman was on loan and ki a player bought by the club but not a Laudrup pick. Ki was the club's record signing attht time. |

Not sure Gylfi was world class, a bloody good player, even great, but world class, think he fell short myself. Michu would have probably got in any team in the world for that all to short 12mths. |  | | |

Spurs let Gylfi go because they had Christian Erriksen who WAS truly world class, and kept Gylfi out of the team. Much as I think Gylfi was an invaluable, wonderful player for us and has been a solid performer for Everton, I don’t think he can be rated alongside the truly great midfielders: the aforementioned Erriksen, David Silva, de Bruyne, Fabregas etc etc |  | | |
