I am not a Tony Blair fan, but let’s get the facts right, he lived in the flat above 11 Downing Street and the records indicate he spent £127,000 between 97 and 2005. It appears Mrs Thatcher prevented Howe from renovating the property and that it was very dated.
The allowance is currently £30k pa. Gordon Brown spent no money while the Cameron’s spent £64,000. Theresa May didn’t spend any money on it and now Boris.
Spending on Downing Street is a different matter, Boris has just sent £2.6m on a press briefing room in DS.

Well Drakeford for one who gets nearly £150,000 pa for running the senedd representing just over 3 million, the London mayor gets £153,000 for running London with a population of 9 million
While the prime minister gets £157,000 for running a country of 66 million. |

They are all overpaid and more people should be complaining. However, does England have relatively as many councils as Wales? They have 333 apparently which means no, to have the same amount per head as Wales theyd need close to 400.
