Strange how you were happy to let the 27 countries flood the UK with farm produce putting our farmers out of business with huge subsidies going to French, Spanish and Greek farmers. Why did you not support our farmers.

Now you object to a free trade deal one country that will be phased in over ma years to safeguard our farmers.

Doh !

If only the EU had agreed to sweeping changes to the CAP when David Cameron asked them to. If they had made some concessions at the time the people of the UK may have voted to remain.

Now they are forced to reform the CAP as without the UK huge contributions the other 27 countries are not prepared to fund the CAP.

It’s good news, but it’s not huge game changing leap forward. One press article states Olaug Bollestad, Norway’s Agriculture Minister for the Christian Democratic Party “had not wanted to reward to UK with better access to Norway than it enjoyed as an EU member.”

Norways meat imports account for 0.0004 % of their total imports. Mainly from NZ.
THATS NO GOOD TO OUR FARMERS.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Norway charges 227% tariffs on our cheese exports will be zero .
Good for our dairy farmers.

Incorrect.

The total quota of cheese that can be sold in Norway tariff free has not changed. The deal allows for 4 types of cheese (Caerphilly, Wensleydale, West Country Farmhouse Cheddar and Orkney Island Cheddar) to be exported tariff free, however the rest of our cheese’s will be taxed at the same rate as before - 227%.
There are some other aspects to the deal which benefit pork and chicken exporters, U.K. wines and whisky, in return we are allowing Norwegian fish and shrimp products increased access, our fishermen aren’t pleased but the fish processing companies are happier.
