Lampard who was manager at Chelsea at the time didn't want Gallagher's development affected by a relegation battle at Charlton. Hence why he was moved to us.. we've had 4? Players from U/17 world cup winners, we'll never know whether we'd have had them regardless of Cooper but it certainly helped him being with us as I'm not aware of any other club who've had so many from that squad . | | | |
