And take the same players out of this year's and last year's teams and we'd be in bottom 6 not top 6 . Those players (minus Ayew) only came because of Cooper. Plus he has to be credited with getting the best from Ayew. Potter either couldn't, didn't want to or wasn't allowed to

Potter never had chance of playing Andre he was loaned to Fenerbache to cover a big portion of his wages.

Right about Cooper regarding the England U17 boys though to be fair.

Don't understand this belief that we couldn't loan decent players in without Cooper, as if Potter didn't bring in CCV from Spurs and so many other Championship clubs aren't propped up by PL loanees. Gallagher was at Charlton before us, how did they wrangle that without an u17s alum in charge?

Maybe because they are down the road from his parent club.

Lampard who was manager at Chelsea at the time didn't want Gallagher's development affected by a relegation battle at Charlton. Hence why he was moved to us.. we've had 4? Players from U/17 world cup winners, we'll never know whether we'd have had them regardless of Cooper but it certainly helped him being with us as I'm not aware of any other club who've had so many from that squad .
