Great effort by Lauren Williams in the taekwondo leading with seconds to go, I checked out a few big bouts she had with her opponent before the final and seen she had lost by a few points to her on the couple occasions I could find (3pts I think it was the same as the final), read a report that her opponent was a sniper and she was a machine gun and then as she went was it 6 pts clear with virtually no time left she seemed to go defensive and gave up the centre of the ring, I was shouting at the box that she was going to lose if she did (based on what I had read) that then there was some kind of timeout or appeal, did her coach tell her to play her own game he should have, but no on the back foot job after the break and lost, don't know if she got tired or nervous or what, but all the same good effort. | |

Watched the men's triathlon last night, checked out the Brit and it said he used to be a 10,000 runner if I remember right, so I thought he was going to win for large parts of the run (I didn't have the sound on not to wake the house up), didn't check out the other two, the winner didn't look like a runner either but the Norwegian won going away. | |

Watching the tennis and dressage on the box, had the rugby 7s on on my phone with no sound, seems like GB got all the calls in their comeback win against the USA to make the semis, what is going on with GB rugby getting lots of calls at the moment between the Lions 1st test out in South Africa and this game in the Olympics. | |

The Russians beat Biles USA in the women's team Gymnastics and GB get an excellent bronze.
GB dancing horses also got a bronze in the team event with Charlotte Dujardin on a very young horse, watch out in the individual event in the next Olympics when the horse matures a bit more. | |
