Lots of mentions there about lack of fitness, not match sharpness. Shows how a lack of a proper pre season is hampering us.

Think that was the case for both sides. After the fourth or fifth Sheff U shot went rocketing into their fans I turned to my mate and said that they looked just as rusty as us. Covid has complicated things all round.
Once the fitness is there hopefully the tempo will pick up a little bit. The basics are in place. Just the implementation needs some work.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Every player will be put through a pass and move regime by Martin and his staff.
They will need to be super fit.
If any player doesn't buy into it , it will be walkies.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

It takes time to adjust to new systems when they are radically different from what preceded, some players are in different positions and it takes time to get used to new players alongside. There was a lot more movement in midfield from players who didn't have the ball.
I have to say we are far further down the line than I expected at this stage.

Which is a big reason why some people who are already moaning should lay off and give them all some time and patience.
2 weeks isn't enough time, to expect Martin to have a finished article in 2 weeks is crazy, it took Ferguson 6 years to have Manchester United winning titles and some people expect a Martin miracle in 2 weeks.
