Religion and how it affects one’s upbringing. on 13:44 - Sep 28 by Catullus
How can one person be a major figure in 3 different main religions that all believe different things? At least 2 of them have to be very wrong, that'd be the yougest two surely?

I wonder if the Saudi Royal family have paid their 2.5%? Or at Ramadan their Zakat al-fitr? They have enough to give.
I once studied the Christian Science movement as I thought it was interesting . It was. Jehovah Witnesses are something and I could do a decent Thesis on them.

I was born into a state of fitrah, meaning purity and awareness of God. My parents had the responsibility of developing their spirituality. This was achieved through teachings and daily life, but also by enrolling me as a child at a madrasah .
I was brought up to have Belief in the Oneness of God: As muslims we believe that God is the creator of all things, and that God is all-powerful and all-knowing. God has no offspring, no race, no gender, no body, no vaccines and is unaffected by the characteristics of human life.
The Five Pillars are the core beliefs and practices of of my religion: Profession of Faith (shahada). The belief that "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God" is central to my religion Prayer (salat). ... Alms (zakat). ... Fasting (sawm). ... Pilgrimage (hajj).
I was often taken to the local mosques as they were places where Muslims worship. Some important Islamic holy places I have prayed at include the Kaaba shrine in Mecca, the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, and the Prophet Muhammad's mosque in Medina. The Quran (or Koran) is the major holy text of my religion. ... we all worship Allah by praying and reciting the Quran

Interesting.

Handy. The first one that shows up on Wikipedia. You attended a university for Shia Muslims that opened in 2002? Didn’t you read that bit?
And was this the madrassa that used to run trips to see the Swans away in the auto glass midweek many years before it opened? Before you fled as a refugee and ended up in Croydon?
You should write a book. What an incredible life.

Of course not. I just find it funny that he looked up the name of a madrassa. And managed to find one that didn’t even die his story…
Unfortunately not. I’m away at the moment (West Wales). And I love going to Fulham as well. Favourite away game by a mile.
Well make the most of today’s Sun, it’s going to be lamping down for the rest of the week.
I can’t make it either, unfortunately. I do like Fulham though, I’ve probably been to Craven Cottage a dozen times or more over the years win, lose and draw.
