I can’t understand the Rugby V Football mentality that prevails amongst quite a few people because a fair percentage of the population will watch and enjoy both rugby and football.
In terms of internationals, Rugby leads the way. The next tier down, the professional clubs I’d say football edges it, Swansea City have the biggest crowds followed by Cardiff City after that it’s close between Wrexham and some of the Welsh Regions who are in the doldrums. The Regions attracted larger crowds when they were successful, but they’re poor teams now and that’s reflected in attendance. Under that level, in terms of players and probably supporters it’s football everyday of the week.

So what if the national Rugby team is the only rugby they watch.
They are watching the NATIONAL team so must have a little pride ,which is of course something lifelong loves in being Welsh. Rugby is the NATIONAL game,like it or not,as regards media focus and world wide opinion on Wales. Fact.
I struggle with egg haters not watching the big rugby games ;not that I believe they eshew the games.
We have many who enjoy Wales rugby losing.They will be besides themselves after the Blecks crucify us and some forums will feature this .
