Looking very likely the play offs are out of reach.

Relegation won't happen either.

So why help out PL teams by improving their teams at a significant cost for us.

Finish higher mate, and of course a few wins and everyone, to an extent, is talking play offs again.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Higher we are, the more season tickets sold

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Plus I enjoy watching players a standard above what we have.

Its a false economy though, as those players will go back to parent clubs and we're back to square one and rebuilding again.

What if the young players we have are currently not good enough and need more time before getting in the 1st team squad. Plus money is not available to buy.

Well we keep what we got in Bidwell and strengthen at CB and at 10 where its needed with a loan or two and make changes in the Summer.

We haven't got funds available to buy, but there'll be fees and wages to pay for those loans and they could well be premium fees to pay at that, its a false economy.

Just playing devils advocate here.

We have a good 2nd half of the season play some lovely football finish 8th or 9th and Martin gets poached.

Not saying this will happen but the club needs to spend to improve our long term chances.

For me promotion this season is a very long shot.

If we have money to spend should be in the summer.

Not spend to make Russ look good so he can do a Martinez or Potter on us.

Defence is fine if the players are picked in their positions.
The problem is we do not have effective wing backs so playing three at the back is a bit of a risk.
Playing fullbacks in central defence, central defenders as fullbacks and rotating the line up every game is stupid.
Last season Guehi was bang average (not always that good) for the first half of the season and we kept plenty of clean sheets with Bennett, Cabango and Naughton playing in their positions of strength.
For his own career Cabango needs to leave Swansea.

Poll: Should the summer transfer window close before the season starts?

Kinda agree with your philosophy unless it’s with an option for permanent summer deal or a temporary key squad spot for a lot of games in a short amount of time with Covid postponed games to be rearranged in a WC year.

Agree
Cab is a decent player but he is beeing killed by Russ before our very eyes.

Another real talent to leave us sacrificed on the Martin Altar

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not
