You re a bugger of a boy to be sure.

I am 72 this Friday and been reflecting on my life.
I am actually reevaluating that which I believed and have to say my view on both Ireland and Socialism have been challenged and it makes one think view can always change no matter how old one is.

People gobbing off as if they know it all need to understand that simple fact.

We really should be able to change and not be stuck in a timewarp.

Today in west Wirral,it is "vile". Wales is shrouded in fog/rain so its indoor games with still lovely and brave missus.

Im going to give her one later;my rendition of Killing Moon in E with my own backing track I made. Nowt wrong with being "old"

Cleddau - any swansea based fighters have any notable fight nights back in the day ?

Know anything about cliffy curvis vs ronnie james at the vetch in 1947 ?
Two Swansea boys. 30,000 jacks watching.

Or Brian Curvis vs Emile Griffith at Wembley in 1964, that went the distance for the world title ?

It's a struggle to think of many Swansea fighters pre-Colin Jones who had notable fights on a par with Curvis/Griffith.

Ronnie James also challenged for the World Lightweight title against the great Ike Williams shortly after the war.

A level below, Jim Wilde fought Buddy Baer, who twice challenged Joe Louis for the Heavyweight title.

Well remember hearing BC saying he was “ quite confident” .
Griffith one of the most destructive of all pound for pound

Curvis largely forgotten by too many and it’s a crying shame

Brian Curvis never lost to a British fighter.

A double Lonsdale belt winner, which very few fighters ever achieve.

Looks like you are spot on OHL, we should celebrate our own heroes a bit more.
