Andy Fisher going to take time to get used to this style 14:57 - Apr 10 with 2038 viewsKeithHaynes

In the championship that is ?

I watched the game earlier, the penalty, what was he thinking ? No need for him to be there.
And a few other heart in the mouth moments.

But if he is to be given the same concessions as Obafemi and Wolf who for me has only just started showing glimpses of his potential then of course he should be given more time ?

Remember Guehi ?

Was it an oldish guy who got up on his feet to have a pop?

The older guys around me don't seem to understand the passing and are constantly saying to play it long all the time, few interchanges past the press and then a switch of play and they are clapping and saying "that's the way" 🤣🤦‍♂️

Yup.

The problem is that every mistake by him seems to get exaggerated. There was an instance yesterday where he passed it long(ish) and it went out of play and some bloke behind me went bonkers. It was the first time in the game that one of his passes wasn’t completed and it was in the 28th minute. It was as if this guy was waiting for it his opportunity to have a pop

Dont happen to sit in the centre near the back of the East do you ?

I bet he posts on here, there are a fair few who just want the players to eff up just to say there were right about them.

Sad just sad.

I thought he was very poor on Saturday after improving in the previous couple of games.

An absolute waste of £400k, he has added nothing to our game. Benda should have been put back in instead of going on loan. We spent money on a keeper we didn’t need.

We also wasted money on a left back who has hardly played & would have been a free agent at the end of the season.

All that money would have been better spent in acquiring an attacking midfielder like O’Riley who was keen to move. Usual late window transfer deals messed up yet again

Looking at the headline of this thread.. “Andy Fisher going to take time to get used to this style”

I thought the whole point in Martin bringing Fisher here in the first place, was that he was oven ready to carry out this style?

He reminds me of watching the countless Woodman groundhog days, of missed long passes, and kicking it straight into touch, and not commanding his area.

But credit where credit’s due, Fisher’s chipped pass down the middle of the pitch to Downes for our 2nd goal against Coventry was excellent.
