Looking at the USA these days it's hard not to feel sympathy. They had Trump and now they have Biden, ol smoky Joe came in as the anti Trump yet he seems to have adopted some of the Donald's policies, immigration to start with.

So they voted for someone different but ended up with the same.

Trump is a Second Amendment fan, at least Biden is trying to do something but there's not much in his favour.

This Trump hearing though, it's not a full on independent inquiry so how can it be fair? There are only 2 Republicans on the panel and they are both staunchly anti Trump. The whole thing is open to allegations of bias from the very beginning.
If Trump has said and done stupid things (and I very much think he has) then it has to be a full on independent inquiry and it has to be done right and properly.

Biden or Trump, Bojo or Starmer...sheesh, what a world.

Trump's not really a fan of anything other than Trump, and maybe daydreaming about having sex with his own daughter.

He'll say literally anything that he thinks that will appeal to his base, and there being an awful lot of morons in America millions of them will continue to lap it up.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

If Steve Cooper said he wanted to see his players "fight" and then they went out and played a football match, then during that match he continued to shout at them to "battle". Then that is not an offense as those being directed were not committing offenses.
If he shouted the same whilst they battled police forces defending their nations seat of democracy, assaulted police, illegally entered government buildings and resulted in the deaths of numerous people. Then he should be charged for inciting violence at the very least.

He literally told them to demonstrate peacefully though. No doubt he will be charged because this is a highly partisan process but surely no court or judge looking at the words spoken with any objectivity would ever be able to maintain a guilty verdict with a straight face.

I concur with what Flynnadine says above.

I would also add that I have issue with the term “whilst”, that you used. You appear to think he was geeing them up from the sidelines as they were committing these acts, which is of course incorrect.

He gave his speech long before they carried out their pre planned (another important part) breaking and entering.

You also said that none of my examples were given “whilst” people were committing criminal acts. The current Vice President was telling daily rioters to “not stop” and promoting on her Twitter funds set up to bail out these criminals that the police were managing to catch.

Some of these people were actively trying to murder people. Cementing officers in stations and setting them ablaze hoping they would be trapped.

Yet we hear nothing about that. Which is why these trials of double standards just don’t wash with anyone that is fair minded, their aims and goals are obvious and they most certainly aren’t to get justice, quite the opposite.

I think you need consistency, which is what I’ve said from the very start.

- if you want to call out the Capitol building riot then you better have a great track record of calling out the constant 12 months of rioting we saw before hand.

- if you want to call out Trump using the word “fight” in a speech then you better have a great track record of calling out everyone else who has said exactly the same.

- if you want to blame Trump for incitement then you better have a great track record of calling out Kamala and the Dems throughout that whole year of encouraging violence and constant misery inflicted upon the citizens of many Cities.

- if you want to suggest anything nefarious with regards to Trumps business dealings then you better have a great track record of calling out the Biden laptop and it’s obvious implications of the Biden family, including Joe.

That is consistency.

However you very rarely get anyone who is against Trump or the Republicans who qualifies for both sides of the above statements. So for me their views are worthless, partisan nonsense.
