Weird feeling after that one.
The positives were that we seemed to play a bit more sensibly, less of the ludicrous defensive patterns and goal kicks we have seen last season and into pre season. Passing had a bit more purpose and speed to it.
Harry Darling looks a great player and Wood I think looks good too. So our defence should be a tighter unit this season which was one of our main areas of concern last season.
The negatives are a few weak spots in the side. Our defensive width positions being the obvious, it’s a shame we shipped out Bidwell as I’m sure Piroe or Obafemi would love some of his passes into dangerous areas.
RM seems to be setting his excuse stall out early again, back with the “process”, “time” and “no expectations” rubbish designed to deflect future culpability for disappointing results and performances. Complaining about the budget even though it’s among the biggest in the league (top 8).
Obviously the result is a bit of a negative. Not a disaster to come away with a draw but we should really be marking a game against favourite for bottom of the league as a game we can get all 3 points.
A draw is okay, just okay.
Interested to see how we go at home against what seems like a fairly decent Blackburn side. They are marginally top 10 material by the looks of it.

A little disappointing because Rotherham were poor, but they still had plenty of chances. After the game, I had the feeling of another mid table year.

Which was promising as clean sheets needs to be improved this season - Hamer kept almost double the amount of Fisher over pretty much the exact same number of appearances last season
