That's the problem , Welsh culture in main stream media is poems and pints , We have a fascinating history , some a load of old bollards but that can be true of nearly every other country.IMO it should be taught first and foremost rather than it being an afterthought | |

As Boundy said its an incredible story of resilience and a bloody minded refusal to accept the seemingly inevitable.
The greatest number of welsh speakers ever was prior to The Great War.
Today we are closing in on that number, maybe above it if welsh speakers living outside of wales are counted. They should be.

If people want to hold a festival to celebrate their culture let them crack on. It’s an incredibly important event to a lot of welsh speakers and it’s more than just a few people dressing up as bards for the gorsedd, there are rock concerts and other events which enable the welsh speaking community to celebrate their language and culture. | | | |
