Don't think Christie is able to do the amount of work required to cover the wingback position in Martin's setup but not many would be able to, so maybe Christie doesn't want to come, given his age I would rather see Wood playing in the position he had one or two moves that helped him out of tight spots on Saturday might be of some use further up the pitch.

Wood is also really fast. Of the players we have, he would seem best suited to being moved to wing back

With Lati out for three months maybe time to bring in some of our youngsters who seem to be playing well in u23 or u18 and find out if they are older/good enough for the step up.

If we fail to get at least one specialist right back we’ve decked up big time. We’ve got a plethora of centre halves and Naughton a natural right full back but we need at least two in left and right. I still don’t know why we sold Bidwell who liked playing LWB and was a natural leader. Perhaps maybe that’s why??

If we don’t get anyone in serious questions need answering.

Bidwell was a limited player similar to Fulton, put's a shift in, but he is not good enough if you have premier league ambitions. The safest bet for Russell is go back to flat back four with Naughton right back, Sorinola so far is not good enough just he is showing league 1/2 quality.
