| Barristers walk out on 13:54 - Aug 22 by onehunglow | If anyone should walk out it is carers but they dont because if they did, people could literally die. Food for thought. The most pitfully paid of all and we wont see them picketing your average Care Home |
Absolutely amazing people. Best of us

They are paid an insult The Care Homes fees are insane and corrupt ALL government have treated old age and old people with contempt These people CARE and therefore they know they can pay em what they like as they will get away with it.Same ,to a lesser extent with Police, who will whinge but then turn up for four 12 hour night shifts to be sh't on by a feral public pysed to the gills. Finally.old people ,old family members are seen all too often as an inconvenience for ungrateful siblings who simply want their share of their estate after the Legal people have taken their cut. Dockers walk out,Train drivers...

| Barristers walk out on 12:09 - Aug 22 by onehunglow | Nothing is further than the truth. In the 80s Police officers were conned into this way of thinking. Courts do not punish offenders who assault police and in fact the other emergency services. They have said they support the work they do.They don't. Labour WERE anti Police in the 80s and that is where my contempt for them comes from. It's why no party represents me. When I was in Police, several old sweats threatened to punch my lights out when they had a chance given my anti monarchy stance and also -believe this,my rather left wing views of the time. The old sweats were often ex services /conscripts and deeply racist having served in Cyrpru,Kenya,Malaya and other bits of the Empire. Glad to say none of them got to me althoigh I truly hit the glass ceiling. One appraial described me as "very intelligent and articulate but confrontation, verbose and disrespectful of "superior" ranks. It was the superior word that got me all wound up. I could say a lot lmore but it's best I don't . I may conclude by saying that barristers are those we need in trouble and we need them to fight a dirty as possible for us . Jon ,having met him,is obviously highly intelligent and ,in civvy street,a pusycat but I d back him in a courtroom against a rabid Rottweiler or snappy Dachshund |
I feel your angst OHL 'Senior' not 'Superior'

That done me mate, Seriously . I had an former Army Major as a Super who told me at my first appraisal that I would go nowhere in the Job . He produced a photo album of his son and daughter both graduates ,both in the job and I just looked at him. He actually said I didn’t seem overawed by his Rank . I wasn’t .Coppers backing each other up.? Laughable . Truly risible They ruled by fear .anyone different was pounced on. That meant anyway gay or women who were either bikes or dykes . As for black people ….couldn’t believe my ears Anyway, I did ok and not giving out my Rank but it was not easy being a joiner at 30 because they looked at your number and longer serving officers always took the pyss out of sprogs. Not me though .

Huge numbers of them just leave the profession instead because they are fed up of being treated like cachu and can often earn more elsewhere. The turnover in these places is huge.

still 70%eRn in excess of 60k plus bonus .10 % earn 509k. Care home workers seem to leave less and accept the lowly wages as they CARE . Funny that innit . BTW police officers are also leaving in droves
