| Forest fans already turning against cooper on 22:52 - Aug 29 by pencoedjack | Also very fickle. Cooper has a totally different job to anything he’s done before, managing a bunch of 17 year olds or decent championship players to the big names he’s now managing, it’s is a different ball game. On a plus note we have Andy Conky telling us we should have him back if he gets the sack to look forward too. |
When did I say anything about this?

| Forest fans already turning against cooper on 00:48 - Aug 30 by Dr_Parnassus | Man City away next where they are likely to get thumped by 4 or 5. Then Bournemouth, Leeds, Fulham, Leicester, Villa and Wolves. If they can get 8+ points from those 7 games, that should maintain them nicely in mid table. |
A thumping was expected as you can see here. If you expect that people think he is going to beat the likes of Spurs and Man City then you are on another planet.

He got a 1-3 v Man city in the FA cup with Arroila ad Freeman given a stretch. It may not have been Man City firing on all cylinders. I do not think Coper will see out the season.

Indeed, we were established by then when we could start giving them a game away from home. Our first trip away to them we got thumped 4-0 and could have been 10-0 and this is a far better Man City team than we have ever seen. Haaland is probably the best striker in world football since fat Ronaldo. Will probably break the individual goal scoring record in a season (31 Shearer).

He’d have a supporter mutiny on his hands. They are a newly promoted team, with championship players still in many positions. He will know this. They will get thumped by all the big boys away from home you would have thought this season. He’s ruthless but I can’t imagine he’s stupid.

Thing is mate people like him go down the Benitez ( or similar route ) yes, there’s no evidence but I can’t see Cooper lasting long if the losses continue. The key for me is the expenditure is huge.

It really isn’t though. They have spent the same as what one single player on the opposition of these teams costs. What they spent could not buy Haaland, could not buy Son etc etc You say “losses continue” but who have they lost to? Spurs, Man City and Newcastle? If they keep losing to teams they expect to beat then sure, I’ll agree with you. But seems a bit silly to be saying that after Spurs and Man City. Their aim will be to stay up by any means this season. They are 15th.

I don’t think that matters to the likes of Marinakis.

Like I said, he’s ruthless but he’s not stupid. He will know they aren’t going to be beating these teams as a newly promoted side as will the fans. They have Bournemouth next, that’s a game they will expect to win. Win that and they are probably in the top 10. Newly promoted sides will not be expecting anything other than defeats, potentially heavy ones, against Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal etc etc it’s more about coming through them with no suspensions and injuries and hope they get lucky in the game. Chelsea just spent £130m on two defenders… one from Leicester and the other from Brighton. £130m!! The top part of that league is a different world to the rest and he will be under no illusions of that.
