Suella Braverman - won't be there long by the looks of it, AGAIN

Nothing more dehumanising than a GENUINE CASE (non economic) African migrant who could be escaping from Boko Haram or Al Shabaab and ending up sharing over crowded accomodation with Albanians and other chancers who are escaping from what exactly?

A spot on one of these boats coming across the channel can cost over £10,000. That’s not including the cost to be trafficked to the french coast in the first place. I can’t imagine a situation where anyone desperately fleeing war in third world countries would be able to afford this sort of outlay.

Aye, but get this one.....i.e. Brave Afghans (U.K would know their I.D and they'd happily provide it anyhow) that risked their lives to serve and help brave British military personel were not even welcome! But others who have done ziltch for the U.K and blatantly threw their I.D into the sea are! FFS!

And to make it even worse and even more intelligence insulting is the fact that British soldiers died, got terribly injured, suffered P.T.S.D to help protect this country and protect its borders from evil outsiders......When?......The U.K has been turned into THE ultimate terrorists/criminals safe haven, logistical hub,'safe-house' and wet dream!

Thrown-away I.D, passports and proof of identity? No problem, your hotel room key is on the reception desk!

I get the soldiers bit, although they are all paid volunteers, but where are they protecting our borders?

The Uk is not the hub for terrorists, nor is it even the top destination in Europe. France, Germany etc have all taken far more than we have, and their welfare benefits are as good if not better than ours.We have only seen a fraction of what they have.

I think (EVIDENCE AND BLEEDING BLOODY OBVIOUS HEY!) you will find that any area, location or coastline where someone or something can be dropped off or smuggled in of large number by dingy and without interference, arrest and with impunity is a seen by most rational people as a logistical hub.

And the fact that there is involment of British military inteligence sort of says that they see it as exactly that themsleves. Because they are not there in a 'customs and excise" capacity evaluating the incomings of contraband/bootleg whiskey ... That 'national securty' thingy hey!

*Edit extra comment* British soldiers protected our own borders by killing and arresting others who posed harm to our country. They were not serving at Dover customs and excise greeting incomers or at Coventry International Postal Customs hub going through parcels.

And a further point, if you had the sort of money to pay the smugglers that much to ferry you across an entire continent you could easily afford to just buy a plane ticket to come here direct. You could rent a car and drive here. It just doesn’t seem to add up to me to go through all that dinghy rigmarole risking your life and spending thousands for the pleasure.

It is something that those that wish to avoid passport control and scrutiny obviously only choose to do?...... Hence why the home seceretary admitted in The House Of Commons yesterday that 'criminals' are amongst the entrants.

So basically Farage was correct. Hopefully if the blob dont get her she might make a difference, and possibly sort out the Home Office woke civil servants at the same time. Otherwise the only other political views are talking nicely to Macron.

How about having a group of translators on zoom immediately finding out what language?dialect they speak. We could then place all undesireables straight back to their country. There was a MP on this morning called Sir Roger Gale stating that the facilities were a little overcrowded but the people looking after them are doing a fine job including the caterers and the in house Doctors.

"caterers and in house doctors " , pretty much sums it up for me . Meanwhile in the rest of the average waiting time for a non-urgent, face-to-face appointment is 10 days, according to Pulse’s latest GP survey — quicker than before the Covid pandemic.

The average waiting time for a remote, non-urgent appointment meanwhile stands at eight days, according to the recent poll of over 800 GPs from across the UK.

Any government that wil try to enforce border control is in a very difficult position because others (lawyers etc) totally disregard national security, public safety, law and order and the U.K's ability to cope etc preferring WOKE politics and 'right on' lefty liberal stuff.

And that time immemorial border control thingy is soooooo out of fashion now?

It's 'far-right' to some in Labour and elsewhere and to types that think that Eddie Izzard should be on an all women short list despite the fact he has a penis and is only a woman (gender fluid) on a part time basis. Student activist stuff for teenagers and man-child adults whilst common sense and stark reality goes AWOL.

Border control and righteous scruity that once was hey? It once stopped Sham 69 from entering the U.S.A because of a previous drug conviction. It's soooo outdated now to some.

The thing is in my day all this nonsense wouldnt have washed. Just stop oil would have had the extinguisher inserted and glued to their extremities. Eddie would have been whatever he liked and everyone would have taken the mick and wouldnt have given a toss. These days there are people looking for any minority cause to get behind and our main stream Media blows it up.

I still go to a local pup where the youngsters still frequent on cccasion and join in with the banter with members of the choir and sports lads OAP's and family restaurant etc. How long this will last who knows, and as for Sham 69 ill raise you Chuck and My-dinga-ling with Ernie the milkman thrown in.

Aye 'just stop oil' that is used in manufacturing to make products that 'just stop oil' protesters happen to use and wear. And that includes the paint and glue they use at their protests. You cannot make it up!

Immigration policy and implementation has been a disaster

Both parties to blame ,however Conservatives more so.

Both parties? Labour not in power since 2010, the problem only started a few years ago.

I agree its a problem now and for the future, they need to get their as£s into gear before it becomes a major source of public concern /unrest.

I just dont get it, can politicians be that detached from reality? I mean all the virtual signalling taking the knee etc Now we have that bellend Hancock going into the jungle and you know whats going to happen there. I just want politicians to carry out sensible policy without looking after their own interests. Is it a problem or is it a situation deliberately manufactured by design? A regular influx of unskilled workers willing to do any old crap jobs work long hours for the lowest possible wage often off the books cash in hand is an absolute dream for businesses. Many are attached to agencies so they can be dropped at the click of a finger when they aren’t needed. Much better supply of workforce than these pesky brits who demand rights, job security, annual leave, adequate pay and better working conditions.

This notion that they want to do anything about this is nothing more than a ruse. Their business owner friends are benefitting, the markets are benefitting, they themselves no doubt have shares in these agencies that hoover up migrant workers the moment they become eligible for work. It’s just lip service, they don’t see it as a problem. It’s a cash cow and their blistered red raw hands are furiously milking those udders so vigorously they are generating the heat of a thousand suns.

Traffickers 'loan' money and then own the refugee, members of their families or guarantors.
The suggestion that people crossing are wealthy is, at best, ignorant.

Well said.
We are genuinely upset about not providing illegal entrants to this country

It’s unbelievable

Hotels being provided at our expense. And they complain

I think hotels have now definately become the preferred 'solution' to lack of Albanian migrant social housing availabilty CRISIS that affects U.K citizens also, sadly U.K citizens cannot be accomodated in U.K hotels...

Hotels being used for foreign Albanian migrants is IMO a disasterous 'own-goal' because £100 - £150 per night hotel accommodation is far more likely to create a surge in demand to get to the U.K as opposed to being a deterrent ? "Word gets about in Albania".

And being totally free of charge would really ramp up the urge to cross to ocean to get here? The solution creates more of a problem?

The Hoylake Holidy Inn in the Wirral looks like it's about to be turned into a housing facility for Albanian migrants. 0:00s - 0:40s.

The rather nice rooms are not likely to deter future crossings? Like I have said before it’s utterly 'black - comedy' surrealism.

Indeed so! Bang on!

However I think you'll find out that illegal entrants mentioned on this thread/discussion are NOT I.D providing, passport carrying, paperwork carrying, NHS DBS 'preferable' types that you see for example working at Morriston A+E...... Yes indeed Indians, Pakistani's and Africans etc!

These types are indeed ALWAYS welcome, after all 50% of the staff that I have met in Morriston A+E, when I have been there have indeed had a foreign accent, are black and are Asian etc.

Ditto ("AlWAYS welcome") when it applies elsewhere to GENUINE cases fleeing a war torn country providing there is infrastructure to cope!. France? Albania? War torn?

I have never met and am yet to meet an (*cough, cough, cough*) NHS Albanian migrant employee (DBS HEY!) that has jumped onto U.K shores via illegal entry and without documentation.

Because guess what? If I do ever come across an Albanian working in the NHS? That person would have entered the U.K legally carrying relevent I.D. That DBS thingy that is so important for a modern functional sociey along with driving licenses, passports, birth certificates etc. But 'outdated' and superfluous to lefty liberal loons with the common sense of a gnat!
