Hundreds of fans missed the start of England's opening match against Iran at the World Cup due to an issue with Fifa's ticketing app.
The match at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha was the second of the tournament.
And at kick off at 13:00 GMT on Monday some fans were stuck outside with Fifa saying there were issues with the app.
There were large queues at ticketing centres around the stadium as fans attempted to gain access. |  |

I am always nervous of app tickets ( not just for football but concerts etc )
This issue shows my concerns are genuine.

FIFA have some pretty tight controls in place to access the stadiums. Fans have to have a ticket in their name and they also have to produce a Hayya pass (ID with picture which also serves as a free travel pass on match days) in their name, if you don’t have both then you’re not getting in.
Fifa send ticket holders details of entrances, seats, etc early doors, but the actual bit that allows people to gain access is a QR code which is “released” via Bluetooth as supporters approach the entrances. Once the ticket appears, spectators proceed through airport style security, bags are checked via an X-ray machine and people have to pass through a security screening device. Security were strict on flags being brought in but thats about it. We heard about the issue with the England fans third hand so made sure we were there early but all went well. It was a bit of a concern in the build up, but it went smoothly. | | | |
