| What do you really think of Cardiff City ? on 11:00 - Jan 7 with 492 views | dobjack2 | When I started watching football in the 70's and 80's they were the enemy and I hated them with a passion. As time has gone on I view them more like pantomime baddies and a source of entertainment. The performances of people like Hamman, Ridsdale, Tan, Colin W, Annis etc. and members of the Cardiff centric Welsh media, one in particular, have only strengthened my opinion. Like top pantomime baddies sometimes I laugh at them and at other times I simply shake my head in disbelief at their antics. It is several levels above the circus down here. I would still like them to lose every game but, even at derbies, I don't feel the way I felt about them growing up. | | | |

The intensity of games between us has definitely gone in recent years. It built up heavily after we were league above you from 2000 to 2008, your lot frothing at the mouth for the league cup game and when bellers curled in the winner, just to name two. Selectively going back to about then our record isn’t that bad, lost 7 win 4 draw 1. That last game here being the killer obviously. I guess we will see how much you are bothered in April but I’m sure you and your players will be? Isn’t the cardiff centric media the real problem? Something I’m afraid will only worse in years to come as our respective cities grow further apart economically, the gulf already being massive. Hopefully we will get new owners soon else we might well have be in different leagues next season. |

Spot on loved playing them in the 80's & 90's Always thought their fans were good at creating hostile atmosphere's and always edgy games back in the day but now they are just shadows of their former selves. Always went away to ninian Park with Swansea City no matter what kind of game it was but never been to CCS and have no wish to A perfect example of modern day football RIP Cardiff City FC

'I guess we will see how much you are bothered in April' Will no doubt be your biggest crowd of the season (again) probably at least 6k on top of the crowd you get against your 'real rivals Bristol City'. You may not care (you state you don't go anymore when it suits) the reality is the majority of your fanbase do. Not being selective but in the last 30 years you have beaten us 6 times whilst we have won 16 times you have scored 7 times in those wins we have scored 31 times. The Welsh media can say what they want the facts don't lie. [Post edited 7 Jan 2023 11:53]

Indifferent to them be honest should they survive or not , everything in the Welsh media , social and economic society is geared towards them based purely on the good fortune to have been granted capital city status then subsequently the home of welsh government .A sense of entitlement by their fans unknown anywhere else because of the above . This crisis of theirs is of their own doing and should it happen a bit of time back down where they belong is long overdue , if not more points for us

I concur….it’s not the same club or fans we once were, love it or hate it….that’s what it was all about in the 70’s and 80’s. Edgy

Sorry penc but I’d be amazed if 28,000 turn up again after the last complete capitulation, especially as we had billy big balls talk for this game after the earlier capitulation at the Liberty. People have had enough of Tan and his BS, his puppets who run the sh*tshow. I just go to catch up with a few old mates, like plenty I know modern football isn’t for them.

Right, but that’s how many showed up last time when we were doing almost as bad as now. You will probably send us down this time, now that will be better than the double eh?

Surely there’ll be a few Cat A and Cat B boys keen to head down given that famous cup tie under Hamman which I have to admit was pretty incredible
