I don't get this "unnatural position" nonsense, players arms get into all sorts of places when running and jumping, just look at Raheem Sterling running.
For me he was so close he couldn't get out of the way, if it did hit his arm. But it is down to the ref on the day and it can go either way. Even with VAR and slomo you don't get the same decision twice so a decision in real time is difficult. |  | | |

The Bristol player's arm was up and out too, it is absolutely natural part of keeping you balance.
You see players in the penalty area with their hands behind their backs … now that is unnatural. |  |

Looks like a combination of chest and hand.
It hits his chest but his hand is up by his chest for whatever reason. Feels like we got away with one there and we would be wanting it if the other way around.

Where should his arm have been?
If it had been close to his body the ball, instead of clearly just hitting him in the chest, would have hit his arm and chest and would have given the ref a decision to make. By having his arm out in a completely natural position for the movement it made it obvious he was hit in the chest. | |
