Seems like our Nottingham born striker isn’t totally committed to the national cause.

Played 90 mins for Forest after picking up a groin strain at the beginning of March & failed to turn up to be assessed by Welsh medics.

Brennan Johnson’s old man was over in Croatia with us and believe me, Wales is of huge importance to his son. He was not happy with Forest.

Aye, they had an agreement that brennan was only going to play 60 mins as he was coming back from his injury but sooper dooper cooper played him for the full game which aggravated his injury.

His father David had no allegiance to any country - in fact he was an International mercenary!!

He started off playing for England B in 1998, then a few International friendlies for Jamaica 1999.

He turned down N Ireland and pledged his allegiance to Wales. Mark Hughes called him up to play for Wales in 1999, and he had his picture taken in a Welsh blazer, but an injury stopped him making his debut.

The following month he changed his allegiance to Scotland, but they then discovered his eligibility didn't exist to play for any of the Home Nations other than England. (He was born in Jamaica, but with an English mother)

4 years later he changed his allegiance to N Ireland, but once again told he wasn't eligible.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

I recall Martin laying into Swansea staff over poor player care in a game when he arrived but do not remember the details. Alan Tate was involved before he was appointed "head of loans".

He left shortly after.
