| April 1st again? 07:37 - Apr 17 with 5107 views | SullutaCreturned | I just read that they're renaming the Brecon Beacons because "beacon" was a carbon burning signal and its incompatible with the drive for net zero. Surely it's a wind up? Beacons is a historical reference. It's not like it's offensive in any way and you can have electric beacons too. What next, rename Belisha's or not be allowed to be a "beacon of hope"? Crazy, stupid world. | | | | |

| April 1st again? on 16:00 - Apr 19 by Fireboy2 | I couldn't give a flying fvck about drakeford, what I do care about is the country of my birth, of which I am a totally proud of and when people question its language its raises the hairs on my back. And FYI this is the first time I have commented on any subject to do with how wales governs itself, is that ok with you penc? Also, why don't you question felixstowe? He always has something to say about how wales is governed, wonder if he or others would question if it was tory run? I think not. |

| April 1st again? on 10:07 - Apr 19 by KeithHaynes | Those that despise the Welsh language who come from over the border, the silly pronunciations of easily verbalised Welsh words etc … will merely take issue with it because they are anti anything that’s not English. That attitude is why the Scot’s, Irish and Welsh have an element of people within their countries who really do dislike England. |
Well said Keith, word perfect.

| April 1st again? on 16:29 - Apr 19 by felixstowe_jack | I question anything that is badly run. Be it a football team, council, a government . Trouble is, in Wales people just follow what their parents and grandparents did and vote labour no matter how badly they do. I endured a 9 miles queue at an average speed of 10mph on the M4 trying to get past the Brynglas Tunnels on my trip to Swansea to watch the Swans this week. All because after 20 years the Welsh government have still not started on the M4 relief road. Hopefully my return journey tomorrow will be better |
Lots of traffic queues at Dover for you to comment on, please go ahead ?

| April 1st again? on 16:48 - Apr 19 by pencoedjack | In the grand scheme of things the renaming of something to a language only a small % of people speak is a drop in the ocean to the other crap governing by Welsh labour. Money I’m sure would & should be spent on more important things that the Welsh language but it makes some people happy so hey ho. & it does seem that exiles & the plastic paddy are the most proud of it, maybe being away they are not effected as much by the incompetence of those governing here. |
Its not renaming. Its the original welsh name. Its always been there.
