News reached us on Sunday afternoon that plans for the closed season that were agreed in February seem now to have been ‘adjusted’ leaving Martin extremely annoyed. 2 Jason Levien is scuppering any hopes of a good summer, click above.

Your constant references to Cooper are tiresome but as you have brought him up would you accept that lack of backing from the owners were the major factor in him leaving? |
I refer to Cooper as he has been a football league manager for as long as Martin so he is a gauge for comparison...and also Cooper unlike Martin didnt play at any professional level let alone in the PL . I apologise if its tiring. I would accept that lack of backing mainly in the January of his second season when we were pushing for promotion when he wanted a striker as an assault on the automatics and he ended up with two crocked US players . People are saying Martin hasnt been backed yet he requested Fisher, Darling and Sorinola and they all came. Im no huge fan of the owners BUT they are managing the finances so we are not a basket case I remember well the High Court action back in 1985 and the post Silver Shield years. Lets see what does happen come the summer before we get the pitchforks and torches out

Shocking though isn't it the cheek of the man walking over to celebrate a victory with the supporters.

No problem with that and that wasnt the point I was making I just commented on how a big deal is made of Russ's gesture of walking across the pitch to the Swans fans before KO at Legoland in the derby, I wondered if he did the same at say Sunderland or does he only acknowledge the fans at the end of the game. I dont travel anymore so wouldnt know

If it's any consolation I feel the same way about the anti Cooper stuff, he's our ex manager & that period is done & dusted and we move on. I've no wish to see stupid money spent by our owners so managing our finances is absolutely required, they need to set a budget and stick to it. What is concerning is consistent references to moving the goalposts & going back on agreements which can't be a good thing regardless of your views on the respective managers.
