You’ve been on a steady decline for a number of years and there’s nothing to suggest that’s about to change. You’d have to admit yourself that you’re lucky to have even stayed on this league, what with sanctions imposed on other clubs having a big say in things. It’s very similar to that time in the 90’s where crowds at Onion were down to about 700 and you would have been out of the league if Torquay (iirc) weren’t even more rubbish than your lot, or the team that won the conference didn’t meet the criteria to come up. |  |

Probably lucky with probably the worst owner in the football league. He has money but not a clue what to do. I saw sub 2000 but not 700. Even last year we averaged over 20k, a terrible season.

We’ve not had that, in fact , it’s always been car crash, be it the red shite or just Warnock ball.
Yet we can still pull in 30,000 crowds and 28000 for the derby when we are dog shite let’s face it.
A mate of mine who doesn’t follow you often but hails from swansea way, a top lad, when he gets pissed though it all comes out lol….his biggest fear is that one day we go up and stay up, we laugh about how that’s so unlikely but he maintains it fuels the hate along with the capital and media guff. I don't want him to fail but believe we have only seen glimpses of what he is capable of. The early part of last season we just seemed to be trying to get him fit for Wales. Yes he can be a bigger influence for us and I hope he still can but currently I think we could have done better bringing someone else in. I really hope I am made to eat my words because I always want all of our players to play well for us. | | | |
