If the article had said ‘we approached 100 solicitors, 3 agreed to it and this is who they are’ it would be fair and balanced They aren’t interested in that though, just use cheap tactics to hoodwink the gullible and sell their ‘news’. |
Surely you lie | | | |

| And now Solicitors.. on 15:35 - Aug 1 by onehunglow | For a start ,many in the legal profession are Masons If you attend court, you will possible see and hear inferences of membership that only fellow craft will understand . Laws are passed by politicians, often barristers by profession . Consider why laws are so esoteric and need learned counsel to explain away what dishonest means or intent or appropriation . Consider the latest abomination at the murdered Police Custody Sergeant making out his client was not of sound mind and had a traumatic childhood. Jury did not believe him ,neither did judge ,ergo ,he was lying through his teeth for his client seeking to have him back on the streets earlier than he could expect . No profession more corrupt . Police and fire fighters are morally on another planet . |
I’m not a mason and I must have missed out on so much on the last thirty years of attending court . I can’t disagree with the fact that are dishonest members of the profession and wouldn’t suggest otherwise. I do however in my experience believe that there are and continue to be dishonest police officers. To put police officers in the same sentence as fire fighters in terms of morality I find surprising.

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

| And now Solicitors.. on 17:47 - Aug 1 by onehunglow | Well not absurd at all ,not unless you see it that way . are you suggesting solicitors and barristers are 100% genuinely giving pre eminence to the circumstances of the client for altruistic reasons. Solicitors make a living out if people s misery, anxiety, worry ,domestic, relationship problems and make a wonderful living out of extended litigation issues. Don’t ever suggest my comments are remotely absurd . You disagree and that’s fine by me . |
You seem to know an incredible amount about the legal profession and make many assumptions that are based on opinion .

| And now Solicitors.. on 17:44 - Aug 1 by SullutaCreturned | If a solicitor misleads a court he could be in real trouble. What he said about sound mind and traumatic childhood, was it him saying that or was one a psychiatrists opinin and the other a provable fact? it didn't mean the jury didn't believe it but maybe they thought the crime was serious enough he needed locking up and no excuses could counter that? |
Yes a solicitor lying in court would be found in contempt, struck off and would face a custodial sentence. It’s not worth the risk. They are not allowed to instruct their clients to lie either.

This was my point about the ‘100%’ statement being absurd
