We should never have forced him back. Martin didn’t want him, he didn’t want to be here. We’d have surely got more than a million if we’d let him finish the season at Plymouth in the form he was in.
Instead, he went on strike, was used sparingly and out of position and drifted through games in a sulk.

Did you see him play for us? His attitude on the pitch was embarrassing.
Doesn’t matter how talented you are, or how badly you think you’ve been treated, neither of which I dispute at all, if you only get 10 minutes and you’re shunted out to the wing, you bust a gut to prove the manager wrong and force his hand into starting you in your best position.
He played like he was trying not to get injured, this was after he had refused to play at all.

Interesting to see Cundle scoring goals as well. £1m for MW was a giveaway and SCFC handled him very poorly and not to our interests. | | | |

Fair play, I’ve never seen stats massaged like that before. Don’t count the games he didn’t start, but do count the goals he scored in them.
I agree with your last comment, Martin certainly didn’t get the best out of him. Cooper didn’t want to know either and Duff/Watson must have been happy to let him go. I don’t doubt his quality though and I’m sure you’re right, there’s a cracking player there under the right manager. | | | |
