The cost base the club grew to after joining the PL dar exceeds the revenue from ticket sales which at best might be £8m a year .....that wouldn't pay the players wages yet alone support the rest of the costs.
The issue is eventually you run out of "bargain buys" whwhich was so much a factor of the so called Swansea Way.
