Rugby League is only traditionally big in NSW and Queensland, just like rugby league in England is only traditionally big in Lancashire and Yorkshire, why England(GB) is so bad at it for most of the last 100 years or so is incredible, I can remember them losing to Somoa, NZ and France and those places hardly play, England lose most of the time against Australia particularly in recent decades and a lot of the time it's a beat down.
