Swansea City yet again lost an away game by the odd goal in a performance that went from the bizarre to incomparable in the second half. The issue is of course despite so many opportunities for the Swans they didn’t put them away followed by incredibly poor decision making. Then of course what more can head coach Vitor Matos do when he sets his side up to win games and his team doesn’t turn up in front of goal ? 1

Over the last several games, Burgess's passing has gotten better. I agree with you about getting Galbraith to be that outlet for our two CB's. Galbraith's exactly what Szoboszlai is for Liverpool - the best player on his team who can play right back but is more valuable as a central MF.

If Darling had stayed, then we wouldn't have signed Burgess. Darling had presence, a CB who could carry the ball up the middle of the field. We presently don't have that type of CB.

Darling also had a cracking shot and scored goals in the right end.

Darling was also better at heading the ball than either of our two CB's. Burgess has shown he has a left foot and that he can head the ball into the correct goal as we witnessed in the League Cup game against Forest but nothing since. As I recall, he did come close and rattle the crossbar in one league game. IMO, I think he's gotten better and is not as much a liability as he was earlier in the season.
