Swansea City v Southampton: Match day thread 19:46 - Apr 12 with 21829 viewsModeratorC

Saints preview : Odds against the Swans just like last week 17th Apr 2026 16:52
Tomorrow we see Southampton visit the Swansea.com, a team which has an incredible run of form behind them. The last time they lost away was on Sunday January 4th this year, a 4-0 defeat at Middlesbrough. Before that Oxford United defeated them 2-1 on Boxing Day. Is there hope ? 0

Swansea City : It isn’t just the players, there’s learning to be done 19th Apr 2026 13:52
Swansea City again fell to second half tactics which are now becoming a little for than frustrating due to their continual use by head coach, Vitor Matos. This of course wasn’t the only reason why the Swans let a lead slip yesterday against Southampton. 0

Eom shirt incident was just outside I would say.

Still no free kick given and a card would have to be issued.
Would say we have done the same in or near our penalty error sometimes punished some times not.

I agree, we have had players sent off for less than what Downes did, wasnt one at Liverpool?

Woods reaction to the Eom incident said it all ,whenever a player puts his hands up pleading innocence it’s usually because they have committed an offence ,
Refs should know this by now , everyone else who watches football does
No VAR in the EFL so players get away with it more often……twice against us v Wrexham away for instance

Even at Leicester there’s ten more according to Liam.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

We have been on the receiving end of some incredulous decisions
Some have seemed sinisterly debatable
The Nunez non penalty was simply bizarre
There again , what is Attwell still doing refereeing
And Gabriel not being sent off yesterday was weird
However , quite how Downes and/or Wood weren’t sent off are the worst decision I’ve seen for years
It’s not us just though

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

That’s unbelievable, Keith , I hope the club highlight this to the appropriate people, I can’t believe these incidents aren’t looked at by the EFL and PGMOL if it comes under their control
There again they are probably as incompetent as the officials they appoint
