Absolutely bizarre behaviour. Queuing for over an hour just to get the perfect selfie for the social media clout post. Almost as weird as lining up in single file at a bar. What is wrong with people? I’d be happily skipping past them whistling as I go. Tap the summit and back down again.

I have been up there several times, every time you want to go to the very top. It makes absolutely no sense to stop 20-30 metres short. The queue is because the majority feel exactly the same. Where is the sense in going up and stopping short.

The point is get to the top then turn around. If people want to take a photo fine, but don't moan if someone zips past touches the summit then heads back down
