Finishes in Liverpool in front of the 3 Graces One million expected Gonna be spectacular Saw 2014 after missus just had bad diagnosis so it’s rather emotional an event for us I was in France , in Amiens , in 1962 to see Anquetil I remember the blood stains on the riders It’s a crazy event but one to see once in your life

| Tour de France on 01:57 - Oct 24 with 216 views | Robbie | Tour de France is a great spectacle on TV coverage and the die hards who follow many tours around Europe well done to them . Film , The Programme really did have thinking of what could be happening with some of these riders , machines or humans , the hill climbs on some routes would undoable . GB Mllk Race few years ago had a final stage finishing on The Kingsway after the riders had to get up Constitution Hill and the cobbles , many got off and run up , far easier . A Grand Cycle race in this area these days will offer the same challenges everywhere . | | | |

I was at the top of Constitution Hill that day and the only riders that I saw get off were those who suffered punctures due to the cobbles. There were a few. They did that three times which must have been hard to even the fittest and strongest of riders. Took some great photos. I also got down to the Kingsway to see the finish. They came past the finish line at one hell of a speed. Total respect.

You might find the area rammed In 2014, our son reckoned on watching a stage half way up a Derbyshire hill would be a good spec but 60, 000 others did Frankly, you’ve actually see much due to the speed but the event his a great craic and people interact It’ll be here before you know it Pogascar going for record too

I've watched several of the tour of Britain stages over the years and where you watch is crucial, pick the wrong place and they all pass in a minute.

We’ve chosen Clitheroe as it features a sharp right gander when they come down from the hills We could obviously have caught the train to Liverpool but the crowds will see folk hanging off lampposts etc Not unlike TT really First time I took my lad in 1985 , we went to Sulby Straight as it’s - straight- trouble is they’re doing close on 300k before they turn right Stupid They only do four or six laps so have to get it right In events like these , serious planning is required [Post edited 24 Oct 10:27]
