25th April 1978 "Mr Swansea" Harry Griffiths collaped with a heart attack and died on the morning of the Scunthorpe match.
Tosh may have been the catalyst we needed to gain promotion, but it was Harry's team. Must have been really hard for players and officials of the club to carry on with the game.

Yep me too.
I was working on match days on the players gate that season so got to meet all my heroes.
Then I left school and worked for two weeks helping the groundsman cleaning the ground, painting, whatever.
My somewhat poignant claim to fame is that my last job was to dig a hole in the goals in front of the East terrace for Harry's ashes to be buried prior to the memorial game against Everton | |
