I watched part of one and couldn't watch any more. If that happened to my son and I found out I'd end up on a murder charge.
Nothing gets me quite as angry as a child molester.

Bennell clearly had been at it for years as were the others and the evidence was there. His sentence could be seen as substantial but he has effectively killed hundreds.
Clearly ,many agencies to blame and I think time have much changed.They had to.

Seen and not heard was part of my childhood too but the difference for me was my parents were rarely around, I was raised mostly by my gran and she believed in seen and not heard, as in don't be naughty. However, if I went to her with a problem she listened to me.
We have had many comversations with our son and we always reinforce that if there is an issue, if something serious happens he needs to tell us, whatever it is. Then something did happen, he didn't tell us for months and we only found out when a parent down the school reported it which ended up with the police being involved and another adult being spoken to for bullying my son. Now he tells us everything, and we listen. | |

Our lad's scout master was jailed for sex assaults whilst he took a group camping,although not when our lad went with him.
We were mortified but he said nothing untoward occurred.
