Trains are packed. As an alternative, you could look at National Express all the way to London, or to Bristol and grab a train from Temple meed to London which is £35ish one way.

As I mentioned above cheapest a mate could get was 270 ish, so fair play.

Forgive my ignorance as it’s not something I’ve done before, but where would you get a driver and a car? I know you can hire minibus etc, but wasn’t aware you do the same with a car? Are you referring to a taxi, a mate or some other deal? Interesting to know for future reference.

Plenty of airport transfer companies and private hire on the net. Just google in private hire cars mate ðŸ‘
