Lots of permutations but the bottom line is we need a win to guarantee a seeded position in the play offs.
A draw may be good enough for a seeded place if both Turkey and Norway drop points in their games, or fail to win by big margins. Lose and we’re an unseeded team.
There have been some surprising turn ups results wise, Portugal and Italy not qualifying are surprises and I’d rather not meet those 2 in the play offs. [Post edited 15 Nov 2021 22:15]

You can be sure wales will not get a good draw if put in the away team group. They need a draw v Belgium to cover for the Ward calamity.
Tonight's results with Northern Ireland and Scotland show a committed lower quality UK team can get results against superior but weakened Continental opposition with high commitment. A draw is achievable. The Czech will beat Estonia. |  |

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few shenanigans. Money talks and I’d expect FIFA to try and maximise its revenue streams. Bigger countries = more money. | | | |
