I said it was funny that people talk about strongarm political power but then won’t bat an eyelid when the Democrats try to change election laws in order to stay in power knowing that their ideals will never garner the support of the public through political success.
That’s happened. They have performed horrendously because their ideas are senseless, but appeal to a young voting audience that don’t know better… so know they are trying to change the rules to stay there.
Thankfully I don’t even think they will get the full backing of the Democrats as there are still some sensible among them, few and far between, but there are some.

He needs 60 votes in the Senate to change the rules, this seems to be a reasonable and well thought out rule that means that any proposed changes have to be meaningful and well balanced. People tend to believe what they are told rather than question it. Some of the stuff written about Biden in the UK around the election was very partizan.
But in 2019, Mr Biden warned that doing away with the filibuster would be "very dangerous", pointing out that his fellow Democrats have used the rule often to block Republican legislation. Back in 2005, Mr Biden said any attempt to eliminate the filibuster was "an example of the arrogance of power".

Yes, their system is designed to provide checks and balances on power.
It is why the statements made about Trump by the Left were SO ridiculous. It was not possible for him to do the things they accused him of. The Trump administration had to negotiate to pass legislation just as every other US administration in history.
The end game of the Left is tyranny, always. Everywhere that they have been able to get a grip on power they try to fundamentally change the institutions to allow future Left-wing governments to edge closer to absolute power. They believe that you edge closer and closer until at some point in the future the imposition of a Left wing utopia is possible.
It is much the same logic as Islam.
When Trump was elected and they saw that even many Conservatives were disgusted by him they took the opportunity to make their move. Now we see them trying to destroy the American constitution and get a permanent grip on power.
The gall of the Left, repeating the mantra that those who oppose them are extremist authoritarians...when the Trump administration made no such moves (it is not possible for any Republican administration to do that as the party and it's voters believe in freedom and believe that the Constitution is the document that enshrines their freedoms...while they themselves make crude power grabs is something to behold.
The reality is that they will not stop until they are stopped by the people.
What will happen is that the Left in America will end up having to use the Army and the Police to repress the population. Their problem is that those who serve in the Army and the police completely reject the Left and will resist. This is what these vaccine mandates are about...to weed out patriots (people who believe in the American Constitution) from these services...to brainwash and intimidate those who don't leave the services (hence the political training being insisted on)...and the recruitment drive aimed at Leftists to join the Services and the Police (we are talking targeted ad campaigns). Next will come an insistence that those who apply are graduates (Universities are the institutions that the Left use to brainwash young people) and the creation of a secret police...a thought police...packed full of these recruits. The secret police will mainly police the police, the armed services etc. Once they have control of these institutions they will be free to repress political opposition amongst the citizenry for evermore...see USSR, China etc.
In ths country our Police are insisting on graduates only. We have a thought police already. See Harry Miller...

That's because they are politicians and they share blatant hypocrisy in common with most other politicians from whichever country or political persuasion. Trump v Biden, Corbyn/Starmer v Johnson (or pick opposing leaders from anywhere) and they'll all have the same traits of being able to lie about anything, mislead their 'parliament' or whatever name they use and behave like total hypocrites.
It wouldn't even surprise me if Biden was relatively clueless about what he was doing and it was being driven by whoever hides in his shadow pulling the strings. He is obviously not the full load anymore, many can see it.
Bojo tried similar here, changing the rules to suit himself (Paterson) and Im sure there are plenty of other examples in (so called) democracies worldwide.
