| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I'm not that sure, I'm sure he's got enough to keep the lights on for a while and a once a week shop in Lidl's. [Post edited 3 Feb 2022 22:50]

My aunty lit a candle in her bedroom once, then there was a knock at the front door, then the phone went. Then there was the sound of sirens as the fire brigade turned up. On a linked note, was it covid that gave me the apathy, is it because of that I am so easily losing interest in the Swans again? I mentioned to my son yesterday that I may not renew and we can go game by game ( because I'll miss Tuesday games) and he wasn't very happy but am I bothered?

The last 2home games I've been to there are season ticket holders around me, missing. The first games we were allowed in for they were there, it didnt take long for people to stop bothering. Surely the owners have looked at the numbers, the real numbers now including season ticket renewals, and if crowds are dropping they understand why? it's not just about the football either. prices are going up across the board, the gas cap raise yesterday too. people have to make choices and if the football s that poor (and it has been) and even when it's better we still lose, people won't go. it's not just ticket sales that suffer then, food, drink, merch sales, they all suffer.

I think this summer will an eye opener..... As you say Cat it seems many season ticket holders may not renew....I guess many did last season as the tempting offer for those who did take arefund of £99 to potentially watch PL football this season was too godd to be true. As you say many empty seats recently missing season ticket holders. I think the renewals will be far less, I wavered as it is sometimes difficult for me to make the midweek evening games.....I may not be there Saturday.....mainly as I am old fashioned sport on Saturdays should be 2.30/ 3.00pm leaving the evenings free to spend with friends family partners etc....Im not so sure her indoors will be best pleased me slpoping off Saturday night also after ahving watched the rugby. I think we are at the beginning of a spiral....we will have less income and therefore less monies to use in the summer transfer window.. I know many are saying our league position and results are not important this season as "we are in transition" but guess what only the diehard core will remain....what was it at the Vetch? I will be surorised if we get more than 10000 renewals this season..I hope I am proven wrong . We are all facing times of rising costs and living standards affected and as you say the cost of football is not cheap especially if you take kids so many will be thinking holiday or football, new car, heating. when we are winning people want to go when the product on offer is not great it will make some people think twice....cue the "not proper fan " brigade. Whilst some of us will attend no matter what....I was one of those once...rainy Tuesday nights at the Vetch watching us V the likes of Spencer Works to standing in the snow at Gay Meadow.....these days I have been known to give it a miss especially evenings when its a faff to get there in time for kick off .I take my hat off to the likes of Builthy goodness knows what time he will get home on saturday and the club needs those fans. That all said I have renewed taking advantage of the early bird discount...despite the fact I know some games will not be doable next season.
