| Yanks are a bit stupid 21:37 - Feb 3 with 703 views | builthjack | The USA just played a World Cup Qualifier at Minnesota where average temperatures at this time of year are minus 11. Crazy. It was actually minus 16 at the time of the game. Players were issued with tights, vests, and wait for it, balaclavas. Players had to be substituted at half time as they were freezing and couldn't carry on. Absolutely crazy decision. | |
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The US Bank stadium is indoors, home to the Vikings it holds over 66000. I don't know what crowds they get usually (USA v Honduras 31000) but with the Gridiron done, surely they could have made a plan?

Five signing in. Two permanent. The problem was getting players out. Silverstein and co offered Dhanda good money to go to DC United but he declined. Luton Town a few out none in.

Well that begs the question why it was said he was over here to get the business done early. Why was he confident he'd get the likes of Dhanda and Fulton off the books when the reality is very few other clubs were ever going to take on their wages.

The US guys gave Fulton wages Cooper and co thought he was worth. In reality no one else would go anywhere near Fulton's wage. Silverstein will report back that the UK guys are over paying. Dhanda might have been prepared to take a pay drop for a USA adventure but decided not playing on £6k a week was better than playing on £4k or £5k a week. It was his choice. Had Wnter offered to cover the difference £1k or £2k a week you would be very angry. Winter will point out to them that Covid has affected the market place and the market for Championship players has collapsed. With no mark ups likely US guys have cut back and told Martin to consider the highly rated Fulton if he is considered good enough which Cooper clearly did and forget about O'Reily and Longman.

Cooper wouldn't have negotiated Fulton's contract. Why would Silverstein need to fly over (and wait until the transfer window to do so) to find out what Fulton was earning!? Dhanda apparently wasn't keen on moving away. Again, I don't see how this necessitated Silversteins trip. Yes I'm sure that's exactly what happened in your last paragraph, but why such conversations had to wait until the middle to end of the transfer window are mystery's. Dhanda and Fulton's wages and the covid pandemic are neither secret or new.
